i guess i deserve it since mike gets up with me 5 mornings a week to make my coffee and iron my clothes. saturday is the only day mike goes in early, and despite my intentions to go right back to sleep after he leaves, of course I am wide awake.

moving day is 3 weeks from today!!! unfortunately we don't have much more accomplished than we did last week. i did get all our important paperwork that has been stacked in the closet for 2 years filed into a waterproof plastic container, perfect for next hurricane season. come june 1 i won't have to sort through all of it to find what we need and put it in ziploc baggies. anyway, today i would like to get the office finished up, except mike didn't come through with the boxes. i'll probably start weeding through clothes in our bedroom instead. also going to penny's to get some window treatments for our new bedroom--they are on sale and i'll get kristin's employee discount, woooo.

nothing really new on the house....i'm wondering if they've started repairing the rotten beam. closing is in 20 days, they sure as hell better be working on that. the appraisal was thursday, and i'm guessing that termite inspections and all that will be coming up soon. i was just thinking that i haven't even been in tampa since the night we wrote the offer. probably should go up there this weekend to check on things

i applied for a job at a catholic school. it is an art/music combo job, one of the girls in my masters program works there and told me about it. i don't know if it is for a 2nd art/music teacher (i wouldn't want that) and how much the pay is....i've always understood that private school teachers make substantially less money but this school is in one of the richest neighborhoods in tampa, right on the bay. so i sent them my resume and we'll see. i'm getting very impatient waiting for public school interviews to start in june. remember, that's how i ended up in sarasota in the 1st place. they offered to sign me in march :) anyway, we'll see what happens with the catholic school.....not sure i'd even want that but it's worth looking at, at least.

scooter is whining to go out so i need to take him. 3 weeks and i can just stumble out of bed and open up the back door for him :)
