yesterday, i sat down for a second after packing up the sound system after an assembly and thought, "i have 14 classes today. FOURTEEN." it seemed like a good chunk of the day was already over after morning show and the assembly, but no, mine hadn't really even started when you consider the reality of teaching FOURTEEN classes times 15-20 students each. and while it sounded pretty miserable on the front end, i was not a grouchy mess on the other side at 2 p.m. so it wasn't all that bad. :)
however, i find it sad and scary that i was so desperate for this three day weekend already. i mean, come on, i've only taught one full and one partial week.
totally unrelated, i can't stand those snotty graphic tees with the rude sayings on them that kids wear. i am so happy that i teach in a uniform school and don't have to see them much. i did see one this week that ranks pretty high (or low, rather) on my list: "PARENTS give me chores. SCHOOL gives me homework. VIDEO GAMES give me a reason to live." please. i mean, what parent would buy that shirt and encourage that kind of attitude? ugh.

TOTALLY agree about the shirts! I see them every day. The other day I saw one at school that said "Teachers fear me." Great message to send to your child!

I'm totally with you on the shirt thing. I also hate onesies that say stupid stuff too. Ana Grace will not be sporting clothing saying "spoiled princess" or any other sayings that are supposed to be cute, and just aren't!
