day 2

the little kids rock training was just as awesome today. i was super scared when it came to performing my composition but it turned out ok. i think i mentioned this yesterday, but it is seriously the most amazing thing i've been a part of in education. as long as i can get my principal to sign the form and fax it off on Monday, we should have 30 guitars, one awesome electric guitar, and an amp well before the month is over.

i am *slightly* mourning the loss of my weekend. i'm sure monday morning will be difficult.

i came home this afternoon to find not one, but TWO of my closest neighbors doing their spring planting. WHAAAAAAAT? seriously, we know it's warm here but we've had freezes in february during 2 of the 5 winters i've lived here. is that really smart? not that i care if it's smart or not, but it makes me look bad if their yards are all springy and cute and ours is still christmas red and half dead. we were going to wait until early march - that's when we did it last year, a week before daniel was born and we were bay FAR the first house on the block to be finished. part of me wants to go ahead and do it next weekend (our house looks like total crap) but the other part of me knows it could get cold one more time and i know we won't have the time or money to replace everything if it dies from hypothermia.
