i think we already found a place for her

i had an ad on craigslist, and a woman from a schnauzer rescue responded to me tonight. they have a foster home opening in toledo, so we will be taking her there, probably next sunday afternoon. it is apparently a wonderful home. the foster parent is a single retired man with 5 dogs of his own and 4 rescues.....so, she won't be bored :)

i hope she is happy there. it is not good enough just to leave her in a random shelter, so it is worth it for me to drive a couple of hours to make sure she is someplace where she'll be happy until she is adopted. the rescue (like all of them do) will do a home study on her potential permenant home when that does happen.

i will be glad when it's over. it makes me sad to think about having to leave her. i am dreading that, but we are so lucky that we found a good place for her so quickly.
