the good thing about snow days on maternity leave

- fewer days my students have to be with a sub, which I think brings me to only 1 day that I will have to take unpaid during maternity leave

- it is way prettier to look at than the constant grey

- for some reason, I feel like it is ok to slack off on laundry and the other details of the daily routine when I know that my coworkers are home, too

- it is super relaxing to snuggle a 2 week old baby while watching it snow

Yes, I am trying to make myself feel better about:

a) being stranded at home on my first day with driving privileges since the surgery

b) Daniel missing another day of preschool.....he will be impossible to deal with by 2 p.m.

c) our 5th day this winter that will have to be made up, meaning 5 days this spring that I could be home with Leah but will be at work :(
