i forgot that first graders don't get sarcasm

while the first graders were waiting for their teacher to pick them up after music this morning, one of them asked me what we are doing "tomorrow."

since tomorrow is saturday, i said, "i don't know about you, but i'll be having a pajama party at home in bed."

of course, by "tomorrow" they meant their next music class next tuesday and my comment went about 57 miles over their little heads.

i heard them tell their teacher about having a pajama party in music class next time as i was walking away, ugh. at least they will probably (....hopefully) forget about it by tuesday.

it was a GREAT day - smiling happy baby before i left this morning, happy kids at work (for the most part) that sang even on their way out the door, smiling happy baby when i got to come home 45 minutes early.

let me tell you, the kiddos singing in line while waiting for their teachers.......sooooo cute.
