totally random - we finally heard something today. people stopped asking about it weeks ago, and i'm sure everyone assumed mike didn't get the job. we did, too.
the position was frozen but they will bring him up for an interview if/when it opens up again, possibly within the next 6 months. for those who don't know, he'd already been through a portfolio review and phone interview that both went quite well.
i'm happy with that. it leaves the door open for getting back to the midwest in the near future, which is what we want. we want our son to grow up close to his family. at the same time, mike and i are more than content with our lives here and are not anxious to move away, so we get to stay here for a bit longer. even if he had been hired over the summer, i was hoping they wouldn't need him until after christmas anyway.
