ahem

not sure if anyone reads mike's blog (http://onepicaatatime.blogspot.com) but i feel that a clarification is in order. "we" are basically ripping out our backyard and starting over. i put "we" in quotes because technically mike is doing it, but i am handling everything (EVERYTHING) inside. in his latest entry, mike states that "kara and d hung out inside and watched the work progress."

noooooooot exactly what happened. oh no. since we both work full time all week, the weekend is the time for cleaning the house, paying the bills, doing the laundry, and doing most of the cooking for the entire week.....all while d is perfecting the fine art of getting into everything he's not supposed to. mike is a fantastic husband and we split the work evenly, but since he has taken on this giant backyard project, the inside work fell on me 100%. i am happy to do it because i want the backyard done, it's going to be great and i'm very excited.......but still. anyway, i didn't exactly "hang out." for that matter, daniel really didn't either. he's learning to stack blocks and that takes a lot of practice.

and here's your video. mama doesn't cook EVER so this weekend was a big deal. looks my chicken got daniel's stamp of approval.
