open house

this one went a little better. even without advertising (ugh, don't ask) we had 2 people come in. one was a couple who is looking at homes all the way up to the 250s, but they are also considering redoing less expensive homes. ours doesn't *need* to be redone, but it could pretty easily be made into something awesome with a new kitchen and an addition on the back. (we have a giant backyard). i don't know why you'd want to do that in this neighborhood though, and they just started looking so i'm not holding my breath.

the other was a woman who was looking for someone out of town. both people who came in liked the house and especially the yard. we are dropping the price again this week - this time we are both sitting down with the realtor to discuss this.

unrelated - i saw a mouse in the kitchen yesterday. (big selling point, right?) up until a couple of months ago we had citrus trees in our backyard, so i knew we had all kinds of rodents OUTSIDE. however, scooter has been spending an unusual amount of time in the kitchen staring at the stove, so i had a feeling something was up. sure enough, one ran under the stove when i walked in there last night. i was just thinking the other day, ' i hope we can get out of here without me ever having to see one.' ha. almost.
