d and i ventured out on an impromptu trip to lafayette this weekend to visit aunt jessica and uncle brandon. so impromptu, in fact, that i ran off without any cameras. so, there are not cute videos of brandon throwing the ball to daniel (and him catching it!), of jessica helping him down the slide, or of daniel feeding the ducks at the park. but, he had a BLAST and gave them both kisses goodbye when it was time to go.
i also consider this my first "was it worth it?" trip. meaning - my first time actually exploring whether or not quitting my job, leaving my house behind, and moving across the country was actually worth all the trouble. after all, we haven't really been anywhere since we moved here, and since it is the middle of the summer, columbus doesn't feel any more midwestern than tampa right now.
anyway, it was :) 3.5 hours to see jess was great, and we can't wait to go to my city once mike is off on weekends again. i think i might get in trouble if i showed up down there without him.
