daniel visited his new pediatrician today for his 18 month check up. i was very spoiled by our old doc, he was really great and it would be difficult to find another one like that. but, our new one is nice too, and he did spend more time going over things we should be looking for as far as development with us.
weight - 26 pounds, 4 ounces (50th percentile)
height - 33 inches (65th percentile)
you all know that language development has been my only worry, and that he has recently started saying a few words. well, saying words wasn't even on the developmental questionnaire for 18 month olds that they gave me. the doctor did ask if he was saying "a few words" and made sure that mama and dada are two of them. they're still more concerned about language skills like pointing and following directions at this point.
he also asked if he scribbles, and i refrained from saying, "yep, all over my ottomans with black pen." (did you know purell takes that right out?) i did want to laugh when he asked if he is running or climbing yet
