I have had day after day after day of post-naptime meltdowns from Daniel. Usually some Noggin and a snack does the trick and settles him down within 30 minutes or so. Not the case this week. He asks for "sauce" (applesauce) and then freaks out when I give it to him. He's obsessed with the kitchen, which, by the way, is a disaster area right now due to water leaking into our cabinets. All of our food is in cloth grocery bags all over the place.
Today he got in there (we usually keep it gated off), went immediately to one of the bags, produced one of those individually packed cups of "sauce," and walked triumphantly to the dining room with it, singing a little song about sauce. Apparently the stuff from the jar spooned into a bowl isn't good enough. He's been as happy as can be since then, after days on end of meltdowns and tantrums.
