and scream at the top of my lungs, "DON'T DO IT!!! The economy is headed down the crapper, and if you leave, you're going to end up owing money on this house until Daniel is in SECOND grade!!! You're NEVER going to own a home in Columbus. NEVER. Why? Because your husband is going to be laid off before this baby you're carrying is even 6 months old. You're going to have to move your entire family in with your inlaws indefinitely and guess what? No one in southern Indiana wants to hire you because after 6 years out of state, you're an OUTSIDER. Nevermind that you went to high school at Bosse and to college in Indiana. Doesn't matter. The interviewers won't recognize the names of the schools where you've taught, nor do they go out for cocktails with any of your references. Sure, it kind of sucks living so far away from your family, but it is doable. DON'T LEAVE!!!"
I swear, I would have turned around the CR-V and had United Van Lines bring all our stuff back to Alva Street.
