What a great 1st day compared to last year!!!!
It rained. I was a little nervous about that bc last year it POURED and LIGHTNINGED and I have flashbacks of RUNNING screaming first graders back to their classroom in the rain as lightning struck the school building.
That didn't happen today. By the time my first class showed up the sun was shining.
Even my Kindergarteners were good. No pelvic thrusts from 5-year-olds this year. (Actually, some of them are still 4. Isn't that crazy???)
I stayed until about 6 doing long term planning for each grade level and have a rough idea of what I want to do. I feel more organized this year.
Now only to feel thinner. Off to pilates.
