6 weeks

actually it will be 7 weeks tomorrow, this is just the first chance i've had to get on here this week. i'm finding that the older daniel gets, the less time i have to myself. he is spending more and more time awake and is so much fun.

anyway, i had my 6 week appointment on wednesday and was declared officially "back to normal," so it's time to get rid of this weight. i'm not afraid to admit that i gained 60 (yes 60) pounds during my pregnancy, and i totally blame that on the placenta previa that limited my physical activity (although placenta previa did not cause me to pig out on french fries and ice cream, but that's not the point).

so.

i lost around 30 of it without doing anything - although i suspect that nursing and my lack of appetite for the first few weeks had a lot to do with that - and decided last sunday to go on weight watchers. the online one, i'm not doing the meetings and all that. after all, i am matron of honor in kristin's wedding in 6 months so i'm not messing around with this. so far it seems to be working, i dropped another 6 lbs this week.

since i've been given the ok for "normal activity," i forced myself to start exercising again too. note that i did NOT mourn the loss of this privilege when i was told to stop waaaaaay back in september at 14 weeks. so, i hated every second of it. i wanted to do my "the firm" dvds, since i actually sort of like those, but they require weights and they are behind the bed in a big heavy box that i need my big strong husband to lift for me and he is at work. so, i did a step workout that i found on tv. i made myself do 20 minutes of the 1 hour workout.

i wish i would shrink as fast as daniel grows!!!! i think he had a spurt this week. he was sleeping in his swing today and i had to do a double take when i walked by his room. he is so big!!! it doesn't seem like that long ago that he would practically get lost in his swing. probably because it wasn't that long ago :) i caught him looking at himself in his crib mirror yesterday, so cute!!! he also screamed through most of church today and refused to take the bottle i brought so i could maybe catch some of the service this week. not cute.
