i hate the mall

i am an online girl all the way but we did the unthinkable today. six. hours. in. hell.

my inlaws are coming for thanksgiving and have agreed to cart all of the christmas gifts back to evansville for us. awesome, because we spend over $100 shipping gifts every year. i'd rather buy people nicer gifts than spend a fortune on mailing them, you know? so, we have to have all of our shopping done by the time they get here on wednesday.

anyway. the mall.

it was so crazy crowded, which is annoying anyway, but when you are trying not to run over anyone with your stroller or knock anyone down with your giant diaper bag...... i cannot imagine driving a giant double stroller, with one kid wiggling around in the back and an infant seat attached to the front..... it's like trying to steer a boat around the mall. seriously, how do you even fit that thing inside gymboree? makes me think twice about wanting kids 2 years apart.

i have never seen so many strollers in my entire life. i have the world's best stroller (maclaren quest, if you are shopping) but it showed its ugly side today: teeny tiny basket. it was full after a quick stop in the gap, so mike had to carry around items from brookstone, kb toys, boarders, game stop, hallmark, and radio shack for the rest of the day. i was almost (almost) jealous of all the boat captains steering their duo gliders around, at least they have room for their loot.

daniel did pretty well. he likes to watch people, so he was in luck because apparently everyone in the entire county decided to go to the mall today. he even took his regular nap riding in his not huge stroller.

so. you can tell by the list of stores that we did quite well. we still have to get the hard gifts - you know, the ones where you just have to wander around for a few hours until something hits you. i might just have to suck it up and pay shipping on those.
